White Leather High Back Preben Fabricius Bird Chair for Alfred Kill Int., 1960s
Sold
The leather high back ‘Bird’ Chair, is also commonly referred to as the ‘Tulip’ chair, designed by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm, manufactured in Germany by Alfred Kill International during the 1950s/1960s. This item is an original mid-century “Alfred Kill International” version, not the newly made Walter Knoll version. Therefore this edition is highly collectible and sought after. It is fabricated from a fiberglass shell which is encased with original white leather upholstery that features a subtle admirable patina built up over time. The light traces of age and use bring more vibrancy to the leather. This version has a 5 star metal base with movable casters on the ends. This very well preserved sturdy desk / conference is in excellent original vintage condition.
