Rare Pair of Oak Tree and Rush Chairs in Style of Charlotte Perriand for Meribel
Sold
A very fine pair of original side chairs in style of the famous furniture designer Charlotte Perriand for Meribel. The chairs are are manufactured probably in the Netherlands in the 1960s with great craftsmanship by Wim den Boom. It is assumed that this tripod chair is used in a church stool and that the planchet underneath the seating was meant to store the bible songbook. This triangular model is rarely seen. The rush seatings are new upholstered. The beauty of these original chairs will increase more and more by using them. The set is in a very well conserved condition.
