Italian design coffee table with a double sided laminated top designed by Tobia Scarpa in the 1970s for Cassina. Made of solid wood, very sturdy. Long and low to the ground, perfect for setting in front of a couch. Many of the pieces designed by Tobia Scarpa and his wife Afra were built on the appreciation of materials and using modern materials while still creating pieces that had comfort and elegance. This well preserved coffee table became one the best selling pieces of its time.
